Obesity and Cardiac Diseases
Obesity may be associated with dyslipidaemia, diabetes, or insulin resistance, hypertension and elevated levels of fibrinogen and C-reactive protein, all of which increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. In addition to cardiovascular disease, obesity has been shown to increase the risk of high blood pressure (HBP) which can lead to heart related problems.
